NEW BRIDGE TO PROVIDE THE LINK BETWEEN BEAULIEU PARKWAY AND BOREHAM INTERCHANGE

We are excited to be able to report on the progress of the new bridge being constructed in Boreham, Chelmsford. Linking the final section of the new relief road with the re-aligned Boreham Interchange, this major infrastructure improvement will provide Beaulieu residents and the wider community with a direct link between the A12 and A130.

Following the major infrastructure works to the Boreham Interchange back in January 2021 by Countryside and L&Q, and the successful demolition of Generals Lane Bridge in Boreham to make way for the delivery of the new relief road in December 2021, the new bridge is now being constructed alongside the A12 at Beaulieu.

The new bridge will provide the link between the final section of the new relief road (Beaulieu Parkway A131) and the re-aligned Boreham Interchange (Junction 19 of the A12). The bridge will go over the railway line and A12 northbound slip road.

Due to open in April 2023, the new bridge and relief road will ease congestion on local roads as well as providing access to the planned new Beaulieu Park Railway station.

Building communities and the infrastructure required to support them is an integral aspect of the work we do. As we remain committed to creating places people love, it is great to see vital infrastructure taking shape here at Beaulieu to enhance the lifestyle offering for residents of Beaulieu and the wider Springfield community.
