Launching the festive season at Beaulieu, on 5th December we hosted a community Christmas event for residents to enjoy at our award-winning scheme in Chelmsford.
With the support of the Rotary Club of Chelmsford Mildmay, Beaulieu’s community Christmas event included a host of family-friendly activities to bring the community together in the run up to Christmas.
With an appearance from Father Christmas, who set up his grotto in the Community Centre, the children from Beaulieu were able to meet Father Christmas, before receiving an early Christmas present from him and his elves.
What’s more, Beaulieu Mini Market put on their biggest event to date. Boasting a vibrant atmosphere, complimentary mulled wine and sweet treats provided by the ever-popular Coffee Squared- the Community Centre was filled with festive cheer.
Craft activities also proved popular, with special thanks to those at Kip McGrath Education Centre at Beaulieu, who assisted with running the activities and providing the materials. With various workshops taking place throughout the day, families at Beaulieu were able to design their own Christmas decorations to take home, as well as create their own artistic showpiece to feature on the Community Centre’s tree.
Martin Payne, Community Engagement Officer, Beaulieu Estate Management said: “
“The Beaulieu Community Centre had a real buzz about it all day, helped by plenty of music, a live singer and free mulled wine and mince pies, as well as all the interactive activities on offer. It was great to see so many of our residents and their families enjoying themselves and a wonderful way to launch the festive season!
“A huge thank you to the Beaulieu Mini Market and the Beaulieu Community Centre for their tremendous efforts making the day such a success. We hope to see everyone again next year!”
