On Saturday 17th September, we were delighted to welcome over 200 residents at Beaulieu’s Community Gardens for a range of free activities, refreshments, and a chance to have their say on the future plans and design of the community gardens.
Beaulieu Estate Management in partnership with Trustlinks, a local charity which runs a number of community gardens in South Essex, gave residents the chance to put forward and vote for their favourite design ideas and features with two runaway winners in the form of some inventive looking seating and a raised pond. Residents were also able to register their interest in following the progress of the project and/or highlight their interest in volunteering once the garden has been completed.
Members from Chelmsford’s Heart and Sole Wellbeing Walks, sponsored this year by Beaulieu, were also in attendance to lend a hand and to promote their health walk which takes place at Beaulieu every Friday at 10:30am.
At Beaulieu, we understand how important open spaces and gardens are for the health and wellbeing of our residents, which is why we were so pleased with the positive response we received on the day. The resident-led plans for the community gardens will enhance the beautiful living environment and wealth of outdoor space and activities offered here at Beaulieu.
We look forward to running similar events in the future that bring our residents together to help shape the future of Beaulieu.
