Chelmsford is renowned for offering a good education, schools in the area regularly feature in The Sunday Times Good Schools Guide and in 2016 two Chelmsford schools were placed in the top 20 for GCSE results in the whole of the country.

There is a wide variety of sporting activities on offer in Chelmsford. These include gym classes, swimming, tennis, ice skating and golf, to name a few. Live music, theatre shows and film screenings can be enjoyed across the city.

Chelmsford’s high street features top retailers while the city’s 800-year-old market offers stalls including antiques and collectables. There are two shopping centres and boasting popular stores along with a number of eateries. Chelmsford also benefits from lots of independent stores, selling everything from comics to jewellery.
